For 27-year-old Christian Lawrence, business growth is all about creating the right foundation, literally and figuratively. In 2018, the entrepreneur started Rise Modular, a Minneapolis-based modular manufacturer and design-build firm.
Backed by Lake Harriet Capital, the company’s mission is to reinvent the traditional construction process through offering more affordable, innovative, environmentally friendly and fast-tracked modular options. Two of Rise’s most notable projects have been a $4 million, three-story, 30-unit apartment complex in Minneapolis and a $40 million apartment building in St. Paul. In its first year, the company reported revenue of over $35 million.
