Prior to joining the Rise Modular team, Michael began his career as an attorney at Best & Flanagan where his practice focused on commercial and construction litigation. Michael practiced law for ten years before leaving in favor of more entrepreneurial pursuits. In 2000, Michael began serving as Chief Financial and Operating Officer for Mosquito, Inc, a designer and manufacturer of private-label consumer products sold by many of the nation's best-known retailers. During Michael's tenure at Mosquito, annual revenue grew from $1 million to $10 million, whereby he served more than 150 clients & sourced product from 700+ vendors worldwide. In 2012, Michael started West Emory, which sells custom designer products to retailers including Crate & Barrel, J. Crew, and Target. Later, Michael formed Left Lane Corporation to co-develop mixed-use multifamily projects with the Lander Group. Michael earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and JD from the University of Minnesota Law School.
